چکیده

This study was carried out in one of the private palm orchards located area village Albu Assaf - Al-Dawwar, which is 10 km west Ramadi city / Anbar Governoaverge, during 2020-2021 season to effect three levels fertilizer combinations F0:0 ,F1: 600 g urea (N 276) + 350 triple superphosphate (P2O5 500 ) 168 potassium sulfate (K2O 240), 1200 (552 N) 700 336) 1000 480) and humic acid H0:0, H1:15, H2:30 ml. L-1 two a combination biofertilizers, Trichoderma(Trichoderma harzianum) Mycorrhizal(Glomus mosseae) B0:0, B1:300 ml Trichoderma 400 Mycorrhizal, with replications for each treatment, increase improve production date trees, Khastawi cultiver, The research as factorial experiment (2 x 3 3) it used design randomized complete block, RCBD, where 54 trees 11 years age were selected that homogeneous terms growth characteristics much possible, Each considered repeater. results showed superiority level F2 chemical fertilization several characteristics, including percentage set fruit, lowest fallen, length weight fruit its size total yield, amounted 52.431 kg, whereas, control treatment gave average traits mentioned earlier. H2 superior 58.148. In contrast, abovementioned traits. also B1 biofertilizers frozen falling, 51.641 kg. rate binary overlap F2H2 highest rates percentage, 59,064 fallen. Also, bilateral H2B1 fall. same B0 appeared outperform 58.915 kg compared lower average., F2B1 weight, well F2H2B1 averages fallen 59.648 response significant type increasing yield components. Genome sequence of the date palm Phoenix dactylifera L

Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) is a cultivated woody plant species with agricultural and economic importance. Here we report a genome assembly for an elite variety (Khalas), which is 605.4 Mb in size and covers >90% of the genome (~671 Mb) and >96% of its genes (~41,660 genes). Genomic sequence analysis demonstrates that P. dactylifera experienced a clear genome-wide duplication after eithe...

Chemical composition, antioxidant capacity, and mineral extractability of Sudanese date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) fruits

The aim of the present work was to investigate the chemical composition, mineral extractability, and antioxidant capacity of six date palm varieties grown in Sudan. The results showed that Sudanese date varieties contained significantly different (P < 0.05) amounts of moisture, ash, fiber, oil, and carbohydrates, but have almost similar amounts of protein. Moreover, results revealed that date v...

Socio-economic characterisation of date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) growers and date value chains in Pakistan

Increasing food production to feed its rapidly growing population is a major policy goal of Pakistan. The production of traditional staples such as rice (Oryza sativa L.) and bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) has been intensified in many regions, but not in remote, drought-ridden areas. In these arid, marginal environments dates and their by-products are an option to complement staples given t...

A simplified Protocol to Induce Callogenesis in Protoplasts of Date Palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) Cultivars

Background: In Algeria, date palm is currently confronted to the Bayoud disease. Biotechnological tools such as protoplasts fusion can appear as an alternative to ensure rapid multiplication and improvement of this species. Objectives: Callogenesis induction in protoplasts isolated from embryogenic callus of three date palm cultivars. Materials and Methods: Some factors influencing the isolatio...
